Should I be concerned?

So I went mudding Sunday and got into a pretty hard bind and I dont like asking for help. I'm trying to rock my self out pretty crazy, sligging hard peices of mud every where and finally get out.

Well the problem is that I broke off my rear left wheel well plastic thing
( cant think of the word ). Should I find a new one? or am I ok with it like that?

When I bought my truck it didn't have one on that side either...Rather than buying new, which LMC truck does sell them... I just went to the junkyard, I think it cost me all of about 10 bucks...

IMO, if you're mudding alot, I'd replace it no matter which side it's on. Without it, slinging mud up inside the fender will collect, add weight, be more difficult to wash out later, and start collecting water and therefore increase rust formation.

A friend of mine took a mud flap form a semi truck or trailer, and traced out his inner fenders and used that. He said it works alot better then the factory ones.
