I usually drive aero to countryside, but I leaved aero in bodyshop to repaint front bumper and draw taurus.
today driving taurus I got in stuck in place I used to drive throught in my aero easily. mud was not so deep, but taurus sank in mud aka stone in water.
But it was not all. I asked Zil truck driver to tow my taurus out. But there is no front hitch under bumper. I was so dirty when I finally fasten cabel to engine frame. Zil started towing taurus out but cabel fastener cracked and broken licensie frame frame. Plate fall down. Bent a bit.
Well, I'm finally home.
P/S I will newer drive taurus to countryside againe....
We had a '92 Taurus, and if memory serves, there was a small eye hook on the front frame, driver side, but it was located close the the frame and would be easy to overlook if the car were sunk in mud. I tried to help a guy with a Neon out of a snowdrift once. The bottom side was all stamped metal. Absolutely nothing to hook onto except those spindly rear suspension linkages. We dug it out instead.
(btw: Elbonia is a fictional place in a popular comic strip over here. Elbonia is a county covered by mud and its inhabitants wade around hip deep.)
I've read that its possible - difficult, but possible - without taking the entire dash apart. That said, I have not tried it. As I recall, there was some cutting of a lower panel to gain access to the blend door assembly. Good luck!
pulled out heater controll and checked voltage on temp. regulator. It variates from 0 to 11.9V depending on positiion. But temp door intermediatly stops. Ouh!!!

Yeah, you wouldn't want to go into Elbonia without a Zil Muck Monster. Nice picture.
I think your blend door actuator is broken. Very common on lots of Fords of that vintage.
I had the same problem with our Ranger and was able to fix it with the "Nail" cure. Here's a link to an excellent posting from the Ranger forum with good illustrations of what you are in for: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/7...lend-door.html
Ouh, exuse me. I identified truck wrong. It is old KRAZ. This is truck of my friend's company. They have really strange business, they dig out old gas/oil/water tubes. There are many tubes that were put in ground and were used, but later were not in use. Owner call them to dig out bad/old tobes for reuse ore utilisation. Really unusual business. They have Volvo semitracktors and I use to repare electronics in them...
