Hi everyone again I have a 1994 F350 4 door an my belt keeps cutting it starts by cutting the outer rib on the inside an then the out side one will cut
it only cuts along the ribs of the belt when it does that it starts to whip around when only the one rib brakes oh I have a 6 rib belt, I have to then cut some of it off so it wont hurt anything . What can I do Rick
As Dave stated.......... remove the belt and check the tensioner pulley for an abnormal angle........ use a wrench on the pulley bolt and rotate the tensioner slightly and see if there is any abnormal in and out movement of the tensioner/pulley. Make sure you are using the right number of grooves on the belt, count the grooves in the pulley(s). Also check the tin plates are installed correctly on the pulley just below and behind the tensioner
