..............1999 F250 PSD , with 118,000 k miles , my second set of shocks is gone . My local repair place can't seem to find at local supplier whcih means extra ordinary $price . I seem to remember some on here have purchased a set for $250 or so , so Was wondering you'll have ordered your Bilstein's from . , thanks , rb
If you have an Autozone, O'Reilly's, Advance or other National chain store around your area, They will match or beat any price online or in the store. That way if one goes bad, you don't have to ship it out to replace it.
Just a thought.

Maybe so, but they don't carry Bilsteins in stock, so you may be able to drive it to the store, but they still have to ship the old one off and get the new one shipped in for replacement. You're pretty much stuck either way.

You are still stuck waiting no matter what. I got mine at AZ. Old ones are in the shed. So I won't be stuck period. I would rather deal with the local store face to face than someone on the phone.

Saving the old ones is smart. I was going to trade in my old Monroe shocks under warranty (again) so I had a set of new ones just in case. Unfortunately the wife decided that old shocks = trash and she decided to help clean things up.
I used to prefer buying things face to face, but after dealing with some of the kids behind the counter and comparing them to some of our helpful sponsors who participate here, I've started spending more of my money online.

Perfectly understandable. I usually walk in with the part # I want so knucklehead can't screw it up.
Sometimes dealing with a nationwide chain can really pay off. Just ask Brandon AKA BDrummonds about his alternator problem at Smokin. He did end up with something else in the end, but no questions asked when he brought the failed unit in at Gatlinburg. That is why I have Wally batteries.
