2.9 ranger conversion
Hi all I am new to the site and have been getting alot from the archived posts so thanks in advance!!
I need a new motor for my 88 ranger extra cab 4x4 with the 5 speed. I have switched out 2.9 s twice already, it is not enough motor with bigger tires.
I am looking at putting in the 4.0 and have even thought about the 5.0.I was wondering if anyone had detailed info on these swaps??
I was also wondering how you can tell what transmission I have already??
I read that I may need to switch out depending on which one it is I drive it pretty easy.
