I'm going to be building a tilt hood on my 1976 ford,f-150, 4x4, and I need to know what kind of hyd ram to use.I know they don't make rams For tilt hoods;( do they?). I saw another site ,where they showed a tilt bed on a 4x4. would the same hardware work for a tilt hood?? Help!!!!! I'll be using my metal clip.I'm thinking of using my power steering pump for the ram.

My friend installed one on his 75. He went to a tractor grave yard and bought a ram from them. Re-built it and whalla. He made another bracket and ran another belt to get it to run. He ran the pump with that set-up. Hope this helps.
