oil before turbo?

oil before turbo?
well I'm new to the 7.3 and i took my air filter off today , and noticed that their was a oily residu before the turbo. Is this normal, i also noticed their is a little tube comming into the intake tube where the oil is. Does that have anything to do with it, maybe to lube the turbo? Thanks

the little green line is for the map sensor..the oil is from the dog house on the driver side VC,,its the crank vase veneliation...most of us do a CCV mod witch lets that dirty oil go to the atmosphere instead of going though the turbo...

What Ron said about the CCV mod! Thats where the oil is coming from. All the CCV mod is, is taking the hose that comes from the doghouse on the valve cover and replacing the plastic piece with a piece of 4" pipe and putting a fitting into the hose coming off the valve cover to extend it with another piece of 3/4" hose and running down the chasis under the truck. The only problem with the CCV mod is, if you don't do some kind of a filter, you get a lot of vapor blowing out from under your truck. It doesn't bother anyone else, but I notice it. I have plans to catch can mine but haven't done it yet (need to before it gets too cold because of how my hose is routed).
