Front Diff ?
Hello; How can I tell if my front axle is limited slip or not? I know that the rear is with 3.08 ratio (H8) code. There is a tag on the front diff but very hard to read. Thanks.Mike

Chris you are most likely correct about that for Ford but there are a couple of early 80 Dodges near me that have limited slips in the front diffs. These are the original owners... I was quite surprised and the one owner is a heavy truck machanic and a Dodge die hard.
I think that the units might be TrueTrac which operates different than a posi-trac as it delivers power to the wheel with traction and you can still steer it when its all locked in. The machanic truck has plowed since new and is in decent shape.
I think I want one for my CJ...
