Turbo Question

I have a 88 F-250 4X4, and am looking at getting a turbo. I went to Hypermax, Banks and Ats' web sites and read all their sales pitches on why they're better than the others. My question is can anyone explain the differences in lay-mans terms and which is the best. I live in Florida so I don't have to worry about hills or mountains and don't pull heavy loads mainly want one for the sound and extra power. Any advice or experiences with these unit would be greatly appreciated Thank you for ya'lls help.

There is not much difference, most people prefer ATS. Hypermaxx I believe is cheapest, but it doesn't include all the hardware, you have to buy it all seperate, and by the time you do all that it winds up being the same price.

I have an ATS that works very well.

As for why one turbo is preferred over another, most people like what they have.
I would never buy a Banks turbo just to try it out and see if it was better than the ATS is.

From what I have read in here from a few people that have installed all three systems, ATS seems to be the easiest to install, Banks is in the middle and Hypermax was the hardest.

I like the intake on the ATS system. The Banks system is a pain to remove and install the filter housing. At least the older systems are.

Having all those bolts in the top of an aluminum housing isn't the best idea as far am I'm concerned.

The ATS system looks clean to me, not like it was an after thought. Just my opinion.

I have ran both the ats and the banks the banks boosts a little quicker but a lot more headake the ats is a lot cleaner set up and worked extremlly well mistakenId is right on about the filter top and also were they pickup the pressure oil truelly seemed to be a after thought the ats system is very complete and straight forward on install.
