Thats why I just ordered an 09 ha ha. This will be my 7th ranger that I have owned. I only paid 500.00$ for my 88 and was offered 1,500.00$. So I sold it and will just restore my jeep YJ. I ordered an 09 grabber orange FX4 OFF/ROAD, 4.0, 5 speed manual with torsion 4:10 lsd and rancho shocks. It has full skidplates, tow hooks, fog lights, rear slider and black leather bucket seats and the chrome shifter. This will be my nicest one ever. It has the Y spoke rims and 255 tires that will work untill I get my BFG 265/75-16 at ko'S. O yeah, it's a 4-door supercab. With Z-plan and some rebates allready on the 09's, I piad under 21,580$. There's no 09's on the lots yet, so I had to order, it will take around 6 weeks. The rebates were stronger on the 08's, but weren't any left that I wanted, not even doing a 300 mile out search. I have to have a manual 4.0 4x4 and the 4 we found didn't appeal to me. I wanted a grabber oranger FX4 anyway, so it all worked out. There will be no headers put on this time, they loose lowend on the 4.0 sohc and are over priced, but it will get the bama engine programer and a cool catback like before hee hee.
nice truck wendell. i was thinking of getting a 09 and trading my 07 fx4 off road myself. less then 6000 miles. i like also to get a manual this time and copy cat color like yours. sounds like a hot rod to me. cool.
It's all good Pablo, this is in good old deflated american dollars, not euro's or Putin food stamps ha ha, just kidding buddy!! It may seem kinda high, but the envoice was allmost 27 grand, so I got a good chunk off. It's the same price as my 04 4x4 xlt and it only had a 2-door supercab, no skids, fog lights, rancho's or torsion and it was white. So I'm quite happy.
I know alot of you are fans of the flowmaster 40, however, I'm not so much. There loud and all, but they resonate inside the cab at certain RPM's. I don't want it screwing with my 136 station sirus radio ha ha. I've allways used the gibson dual sport and had it chopped to exit in front of the passengerside tire (lighting style). It makes for a deeper rumble and doesn't mess with the spare tire.
No prob, sounds like a nice rig you ordered. Leaving for Big Bend Friday evening, should be a fun week on the trails, been preping my truck the past few weekends -
