Some Progress...

Earlier this week i took the front end and all the coolers off my new truck, and later on the week i planned on pulling the engine... Got her out tonight which was kind of unexpected but everything went smoothly, thanks to stroken who came over and helped guide the motor out... Check out the pics by clicking on the pic and then going towards the right

Wipeout Enterprises. It is solid lifters, (i think) billet push rods, and roller rockers. They are mighty expensive.

Yeah, I just looked. $1500 for a set of rockers is pretty steep.

No, you must have missed that i threw a rod or two, and bought this truck just for the motor, i plan on reselling the rolling chassis. Yes, there is about 8,000 more into the motor alone than what i paid for the entire fuking truck.

Some more updating... Bored .020 over now, not ran an air filter, with the exhaust leak the whole intake side even down into the heads looks just like the inside of an exhaust pipe, sooty and black. Im sure it probably sucked in alot of dirt too. Boring it over to .030, the pistons are getting sent to a machine shop in CA for custom bowl work that will make compression a little more streetable, and then i have to collect a bunch of stuff to get Jet hot coated. Buying a new damper and headers next week, and then once the engine is torn down and i get pistons back, i can take block to the machine shop and get it baked and bored...

I was wondering why your truck turned red (been gone the last week). So you bought a whole rig for a donor motor?

Yeah, i figure i can resell the rolling chassis to someone who wants to put in a motor and go pull. Its got all the drivetrain mods and it's moreso a track truck and not a street truck...

Oh and to all of you who have bought parts... Hopefully it rains tomorrow so i can clean up under the hood of this truck, push it out of the way, and then bring in my gray truck and begin removing sold parts

She sure had a mean exhaust leak, cannot wait to see this thing in ol' gray. I would say the final price tag of that motor will be more then your dads 06 dually.
