Winch problems
I have a 10000 pound winch on this 79 bronco i just bought. I hooked the power wire to one of the batteries cause thats the only one it would fit to of the two batteries it has. When we disengaged the winch and tried to pull out the cable it didnt work. We can only move the spool that the cable is hooked to about an inch or two in either direction before it cant go anyfurther. We had to take out the cable by using the remote which took forever. Now after wiring up new battery wires the winch wont work at all. Im sure its getting power because the car still runs and i believe it is hooked to the main battery. Does anyone know why this wont work. Its a ramsey winch. Also does anyone know why i cant pull the cable out or if i can fix this myself cause i dont want to pay 600 to a guy to rebuild it. thanks
