i have a 91 f150 with the 300 and was wondering if the y converter is actually a catalytic converter or just a 2-into-1?
If so then i already cut off the second converter, and now have the "Y" and an 18in. cherry bomb, i ran the truck straight off the "Y" and LOVED the sound and performance gains, then i put the cherry bomb back on and it quited down ALOT... so i was wondering if the "Y" made enough back-pressure to run it straight off of that, or if i need to keep the cherry bomb on... also don't burn me on emissions stuff, in my county there is no emissions, so just please any info will help....
there is only 1 converter the y-pipe is just a y-pipe...if you cut that y-pipe off too you can run dual exhaust and you can pretty much run your exhaust any way you like as long as its within the guidlines of the country/state and you relocate the O2 sensor (if necessary)
