New Trans, which one?
I posted a thread a few days ago and got nothing, so I'll post again with a twist. I need a new transmission for my F-350, 00, V-10. The trans that just went out was a Reman. from Ford. The first one that went had 52k miles and this one has approx 60k on it. So I'm not too horribly excited about getting another reman. I don't want to spend a ton of cash but I can do the install myself, as I have a large shop and all of the tools necessary for the job. I'm not a trans guy by any stretch of the imagination so a rebuild for me is out of the question. I just don't know where to start. Most of the local trans shops seem a little on the shaddy side. Any suggestions will be greatly apprecieated, what to do, or what not to do. Thanks guys.

I had a 96 ford windstar, same issues, 1st one last till about 55K second till around 80. Beleive it or not AAMCO I think it did a good job on a rebuild, put in new valve body and extra strong springs. did the trick.
