Radio????????

OK guys........got a 96 PSD F250. I have a radio......but I am thinking of putting in a satellite radio.............most likely someone out there has already done it.......I'd like one with at least has a **** for on-off and volume...something that looks nice.......I'm a old geezer........something that may slip right in where the other one is...........so give me a little help on what brand........how about some of the newer ones that are in the ford truck.....any of them fit ours............how a something with more than one that will take more than one cd disc.

lots of comments now.....................

Well the "Hole" (It has a fancy name, can't recall what) that the OBS has for a radio was changed to one that is at least twice as large in height then what we have. The multi disc changer will more than likely be solved by an external unit, possibly under the seat or...........????? Where ever.

I can't really address the satellite radio issue as all of the ones that I have seen are about the size of the transistor radio that I have duct taped in my ashtray.

I have Sirius & I installed a Detatchable docking system in my truck. It has a docking station that I hardwired into my radio. This way I can use my Sirius head unit anyplace I have a docking station. If you want a cleaner look, you can buy a sat. ready car radio & get an under dash unit.

The underdash units the ones intstalled from the factory & you can find them on Ebay. You just need to purchace An aftermarket Sat. ready radio, The proper wiring & an antenna. Also need a subscription to the service of course.

I've got Sirius in my truck, and i just went to Best Buy and picked out the radio that i liked that was sat ready. It happened to be a Pioneer that has green lights to match the gauges. I then had to buy the pioneer converter, another 100$ and it comes with the converter, the aux cord to the radio, and the antenna. I would go onto techronics dot com and get the stuff from them, they are really good price wise and prety good customer service if you need to ask any questions.
