Bug shield for 05 Excursion

Looking for a bug shield for my 05 and just wanted to know what work best, some rub on hood or grill and don't care for those rub marks on paint, so what do you all think or use

Oem ford is what I used and it seems quite sturdy compared to the aftermarket ones.

The Ford OEM bug shield that came on my 2005 Ex caused 4 serious "divots". 2 on the hood and 1 on each front fenders. Not good! I will post images.

BTW: I have a 2005 Ford OEM bug shield for sale. Good price.
Don't recommend using it tho'.

i have an AVS in chrome. they also make stainless steel but the actually dent when something bangs against it. i have had mine on for about 3 years. here it is. it mounts using 4 screws that use existing holes under the hood. nothing touches the outside of the hood.

I have Old Glory on Mine. I put the self sticking 1" pads on the end of mine so it would not rub the fender.

I like the clean looks of my X w/o a bug shield... BUT, if I did want to install one on it, I'd go with a LUND INTERCEPTOR. I had one on my old F250 SD and I really liked the way the smoke color accented the colors of the grille on the truck.

Here's a pic

I actually installed a few for friends of mine with SD Fords. Not too hard either.

Never any rubs or problem issues either.
