Just wondering if any of you guys are using a hydraulic steering assist system on your trucks. I know this technically isn't just for us diesel-ers but the 7.3's are known to have difficult steering problems. I want to fix this, so I'm looking at a hydraulic assist steering system. I know some are road legal, most are not. Do you guys run a hydraulic system? If so, who's it made by? Would you reccomend it to someone else?
I don't run one....crossover makes it pretty easy to turn at 8.5" of lift.
Personally, I'd go with a PSC Motorsports setup and a Vanco Ported Hydroboost setup.
I know guys with 54s who were happy just with the PSC pump and Vanco Ported Hydroboost without doing the ram assist.
I'll probably do the PSC pump and Vanco myself....since a buddy of mine gave me the PSC pump for free (didn't need it any more when he dropped in a 5.9 CR).
Oh boy...PSC....I finally gave up on them awhile ago. Notice they don't even offer setups for Ford anymore? I still would like to run an assist setup given I have PSC's ported steering box.. I too am curious who makes a good ram assist for us.
