Leveling Kit

Has anyone out there put a leveling kit on their truck? I have an '05 PSD, CC, SB, SRW and was wondering what the max tire size is with just a leveling kit. Most of them claim the max size is around 37" with the 2.5" leveling kit, but does this mean that is what will fit in the wheel well? Will they still rub when you turn?

Thanks for the help.

Search "leveling kit" in the super duty forum and you will find hundreds of threads on this. I would think 37 might rub at full turn if the suspension is not on level ground. 35"s would be a safer bet.

With my setup, i am almost positive i could run 37's and not scrub too much or at all. I ran my current tires two days before i installed the kit and had no issues lock to lock with scrubbing It all depends on wheel sizes to. I guy i know who has an 08 w/ the 20in wheels and he is running 37's with a 2.5in leveling kit. It looks pretty good in my opinion. It definatley feels the wheel wells up. It will all depend on your wheel deminsions

Mine has Bilstein 2.25" leveling coils and Bilstein 5100HD shocks running 35-12.50x17 Toyo M/T's on 17x9 Raceline wheels with a 5.00" backset.

The front tires just clear at full lock at full suspension compression. I've wheeled it hard and never had tire contact. I had to install a Donohoe (now Icon) adjustable panhard bar to properly center the front axle and that helped with clearance issues.

There is no way 37" tires up front would clear on my truck.

I bought the leveleing coils and shocks through Desolate Off-Road in Southern California, they also installed it for me.

The panhard bar was purchased through Kartek Off Road in Corona, CA. Kartek Off Road - Where the Off-Road is On!

I definitely noticed the improved suspension travel! Far less bottoming out and a much smoother ride both on and off road. Eliminated the Death Wobble as well.

It's made a huge difference in the handling and ride of my truck and I highly recommend it.

Thanks a lot for the help guys! I appreciate it. Has anyone used any of Summit Racing's leveling kits?

The first year that I had my truck I added the Daystar 2-3/4" spacers and some longer Rancho shocks. My truck drove fine without having to realign it or anything!!!

So for a cheap levelling kit I would recommend it. The only reason I took it off was to go to a 5" lift.

^^^^^^^^X2. Have the same setup, and it cost me less than $300 bucks.
