Here are the goods, I have a 94.5 crew cab 4x4 powerstroke and through a lot of trials and tribulations I have finally discovered I have lazy injectors. Now to the question, If I do the stage one upgrade I have two options: Just buy the kit and put the injectors back stock or have the machine shop do their little deal and get some horsepower to boot. Now my concerns: I'm fixing this truck to sale so stock will work, but a little boost might help the sale, if I go stage 1 do I need pyro egt gauges and all that and do I need a clutch upgrade, beyond that how much will the machine shop charge for their part?
If I can pull it off without additional upgrades I might consider because I'm already down to it but at this point I don't want to tie up a lot of cash in a truck that is about to be put on the market. I'll save that for the stage 1 on my 97 stroker! Thanks for the input. BH
stage ones will run like a stock injector without programming. with stage ones and no programming you will not need a pyro, clutch upgrade, or any of that stuff. for a truck getting ready to get sold i would just replace them with stock injectors and modify the '97 instead. LoL.
Oh yeah and why do you say you have "lazy" injectors?
just buy the stage ones and if the truck your selling is having injector problems put the 1's in your 97 and the stock ones from that truck in the truck your selling
