I want ti know if the 4.6 can be swapped for the 5.4 and what will I have to modify to be able to do it?

Welcome Jamie!

I'll bet they can help you! Just post in the tech forums with any question you have and see the help you can get. Look around the site as you are doing and be sure to drop in your local chapter: Missouri Chapter - Ford Truck Enthusiasts Forums

As far as the engine swap, it can be done but it may not be as easy as one would think. There is a forum for engine swaps and the 97-03 forum also talks about this.
