Reporting on MPG
Hi folks, I'm the guy who got tired of visiting Ford dealers around the country to get things fixed and traded for a 2008 Chevy 3500 dualie CC Max & Alli last week. A couple of folks asked for a report on the MPG on the new truck. I was getting 10 MPG pulling a 5000 lb trailer with the 2006 F350 PS SuperCab SRW. We are on a trip now with the new truck and trailer and we are averaging 13.6 MPG and it now has 800 miles on it so it isn't broke in yet.

I beleive it, I used to get 11-12 MPG pulling our 40 foot fifth wheel and the last time we pulled it we got 9 mpg and no dealer techs can figure out why the drop in MPG. The computer shows everything is OK. Changed fuel filters, turbo, air filter & made sure tire pressure was good and no change in MPG.

draggin my 28'er up and down the Rockies, Cascades and Sierra Nevada's and more than half this country,
I average 13. And that's with the way I drive. I gather no moss and this Oasis shows zip. However I feel for the guys with probs, Enjoy.
