Ok heres the deal..i just had to replace my alternator...As i am sure most of you allready know there are 2 kinds available 90 amp and 130 amp (having to replace this mid move to NC was no fun) i bought the 130 amp but oddly my check enging light comes on?? it was installed properly. I was however towing a 5x8 Uhaul trailer and trying to keep 65-75 mph as much as possible. I later found it to be a vaccum line and replaced it post haste but even after i fixed it the light came on periodicly for the rest of the trip. any ideas of minor things that could be related? and will using the 130 amp over the OEM 90 amp cause problems?
thanks yall!
My car is a 94 EB...about 125000 on the odometer...also any maintenance suggestions would help...I have noticed that The light has not come on again, however it makes me wonder what might have caused this while towing. I have not noticed any major problems since then.
Not particularly sure but, if a warning light comes on, there is obviously a code. I've never had a warning light so i'm not positive, but don't you have to disconnect the battery for the warning light/codes to reset?
