question on frame
I have a 1995 Ford F-150 4x4. Is the frame the same as what's on a 3/4 ton about the same age? I have been told that the frame should be the same except for the cross supports. Someone said that there are more supports on a 3/4 ton. Anyway, I am wanting to convert it to a 3/4 ton with a solid front axle, (probably a Dana 60), with a NV4500 tranny and not sure about the transfer case just yet. This is part of a buildup for a later engine swap.

Wouldn't it be easier to just buy a F350? (dana 60 front, 10.25 rear, 460 engine....) And no, the frames between your F150 and the F250's are T the same. The F250 and the F350 have the same frame though.
