Windshield washer. Hose leaks.
Well, washing fluid leaks in a hour. But my hand are to thick to do it. How to remove reservouar?
Any tips....
On a '91, two bolts hold reservoir in mount. First is near top on radiatior support member -easily found. Second passes through the molded plastic flange on reservoir and connects to inside edge of the battery tray. Remove those and move the reservoir slightly towards the battery but do not try to pull the reservoir out just yet. There is a short lenght of wire/connector to the reservoir pump that needs disconnected first. The connector is hard to get to due to restricted space. The connector is just a friction push on style - no hidden release tabs. Either a long pair of 90 degree needle nose pliers under the connector or a bent coat hanger wire will pull the connector loose.
Pull the reservoir upward slightly and tip back/forth as necessary to clear obstacles. The reservoir is larger and longer than you expect.
Getting the connector back onto the pump terminal is a bear. The plastic connector sits next to the radiator and it very brittle from age and heat, so use caution if you try to grab it with pliers to push it back on.
