check engine light question.
I recently replace the alternator on my uncles 03' expedition, and now we cant get the check charging system message to go away, eveything works fine and it drives normal. any sugestion how to get rid of the message?

I have read where some people said to disconnect the neg. side battery cable for 10+ minutes (don't hold me to this). If you have the info button on the dash, you should be able to go into the center and reset the message. Good luck,

May still have a problem. Where did the alt come from? I've seen so many bad NAPA/Autozone/Advanced alternators I won't even put them on hardly anymore. Could be a bad regulator...
