Replacing Thermostat
I decided to replace my thermostat while changing the coolant at 100,000 km. I did some reading after replacing it (I should have done that first) and noticed one one of the threads said to take note of the position of the bypass an put the new one at the same position. I did not do this and just put the new thermostat in. I am assuming the bypass is the little hole with the small bobbly thing in it. Does it really matter? If so what location should I have put it in?
Thanks

Is it worth taking apart to check the location, does it really make a difference? I think I put it toward the front of the truck.
By 12 o'clock is that facing the vehicle from the front, meaning that the bypass would be toward the firewall?
Thanks again.
