Advice on Lowering suspension
The cavernous look of the wheel wells on my 4x2 gotta go! I'd like to drop the truck a little..Nothing radical. The local boys think a 3 & 4 is fine. I want to retain the stock ride, which we all know is pretty darn good for a truck. Belltech offers a whole kit with shackles/hangers, NitroDrop shocks and springs. I'm getting conflicting info about spindles. Some articles say I need them to retain the steering geometry. Others read that for just a 3" front drop, it's not critical. Should I also get drop spindles and different rear leaf springs? Has anyone dropped his ride AND used the BFG "VelvetRide" shackles? Anyone gone thru the experience who can offer some firsthand scuttlebutt? Mistakes to be avoided? "If I'd known then what I know now, I'd have........"?
