brakes and drive shafts

77 f250 extended cab long wheel base
my problem with the brakes is the pedal has plenty of pressure but after being pressed it doesnt come back up. new parts already installed: wheel cylenders, hd 2 piston calipers, front brake hoses(flexible rubber ones), master cylender (3rd one cause i thouht it was the problem), brake booster. any help would be appreciated. when you stop it could throw you throught the window, the pedal just wont return.
my problem with the drive shaft is that i have swapped a 300 inline (blown) for a 351 (built pretty stout) i have the borgwarner 4 speed and after installation, the drive shaft is about 1 inch short. wondering if its an everything isnt adjusted right problem or if its a "there were 2 drive shaft options and you didn't look it up retard" problem. any help would be appreciated. i need it asap to, i have to have my truck lol.
thanks
