Talking Brake Grab

Alright Guys. I know it been a while for me to post, but this one is stumping me. I have a 1964 F250 with a full floating Dana 60 rear end, 2wd. I have finally got my parking brake working (a few good pulls and it came loose) so I can now use it when Parked instead of the tranny. Here's the problem. Since I got the parking brake handle freed, when I first pull away from my parking space, my brakes are grabbing and screetching for the first two or three stops. After that they are fine. I am figuring I need new shoes. I am going to replace them anyway but I need to know: how do I get the bloody drums off the truck? Silly question, I know, but I am learning. If anyone has some pictures of the steps, I would be really greatful.

Alot of times, the drums will corrode, or rust right onto the end of the axle. the only way that I have ever gotten them off without wrecking a drum is by heating the **** out of the drum (drum only, do not put heat onto the axle).
You will hear the drum tick and pop, when it is ready to come off. It may still require a little help, via, a hammer.
Once it's off, it will be well worth your while to clean the heck out of the center of the drum with some sand paper, emery cloth, pencil grinder, etc, you should clean the lip on the axle end as well.

Hope this helps, good luck
