Can I swap out the 16" rims on my 2000 F250 CC SB 2wd for the 2008 20" factory 8-spoke rims? Will they even fit on a 2wd & any other issues I'd be facing with this swap.
You need 2" (or 1.5") wheel adapters/spacers to make it work. Look at my gallery to see what they look like...well...the wheels, not the spacers. I didn't get a picture of them.
Hey Monsta, thanks for the site, I've heard some guys say to avoid spacers, but my truck isn't used for off road, just drags a #8000 TT in the summer and runnin around, have you had any problems? Did you have to do any recalib? I understand that if the final outside tire diam. is the same it should be fine. How much did those spacers run ya? Rims look sharp, Thanks again!
I have no issues with the spacers. Due to the width & backspacing of the new rim, it is basically in the same place as the old rim. It doesn't stick out and the inside of the wheel is in the same position as the old stock wheel. So I shouldn't have any bearing issues.
I used my Superchip tuner to recalibrate for tire size and also for the 4.30 gears I installed. I used 285/55-20's. The tires aren't too much larger, height wise, than stock.
