Need input, about codes

I recently just changed my spark plugs, & spark plug wires, as I found a few of my spark plugs to be black, (I found out from a elarlier post, that it was my o2 sensors ground wire not connected, & give me a very rich mixture, problem solved.) Anyway upon replacing a broken spark plug wire, I ran my code reader with the KOEO, & came up with codes 72 & 73, I changed out both my sensors today, let the vehcile get to operating temp & ran the test again I'm still getting these codes, could there be something else I'm missing that is leading up to these. Also how exactly do you perform the test with the brake on/off (code 74), & one last thing how do you know if you can perform the cylinder test, is there a way of telling if my vechile is equipped with the sefi. Even though I'm not always here I still love this site as everyone here always is great in give out advice to everyone problems.

To get rid of the 'boo' code (brake on/off)

Just hit the brake pedal right after the engine ID set of flashes. It will flash 2 times for a 4 banger and 3 times for a v6. Took a bit to figure that out LOL. But that should take care of the brake on/off test.

Not sure about the rest of matters, my understanding is not the greatest anymore with eec4 systems. (we have a running soap opera on our bii) But at least that should deal with the boo-code.

Thank you, I didn't realize you where suppose to do it right after your engine id, I always waited until the code 10 appeared, maybe thats why I'm getting the codes 72/73, will try to repeat my tests.

KOER 72 and 73 both indicate that the computer didn't see the "goose" test right after the "10 code" (which is just a signal to perform the goose test). "Goose" test means to briefly press the throttle to WOT and release.

As noted, be sure to press the brake right after engine id for the BOO test.

Assuming that this is on a Bronco II, which never had and SEFI engine in it, I will say you don't have SEFI. The 2.9 was a batch fire engine (injectors are fired in tow batches of three), and the 2.8 was carbeurated. No cylinder balance test on a stock BII.
