Well welcome to FTE first of all. Plenty of info & "know how" on this site.
What modifications have you done if any? I would check the fuel filter for starts and if you haven't a new CPS (cam position sensor), it also could be the under valve cover harness (UVC). But it could be alot of things with the information supplied. Can you give some more details

i just did the fuel filter not to long ago. i asked the dealer about it because in the winter when i first started it the rpm would shoot all over the place then die so they gave me c-tain(probably spelled wrong) booster it started shortly after i started putting that in. so i stopped and changed where i got my fuel. i've only had the truck since jan. it came from the dealer they supposeingly did a 200 point inspection. i'll be just crusing along at the same speed with my foot at the gas and it will bog down and lose all engine power like i let go of the fuel pedal the only way i can stop it from dieing in the middle of the road is by hitting the gas then its fine

Yep, that is were I would start. Ford had a recall on them at least 6 months ago, you can swing by the dealer and see if it was changed under warranty, if not have them throw one in or if you don't trust them anymore get one and put it in yourself. Very easy - 10mm wrench, just throw some penetrating oil on the old one the night before, so she comes out easy.
