2004 Audiophile System into 08
I pulled the sub under the 60% rear bench from my 2004 F150 Lariat out before I sold it.
The new 2008 FX4 has a slit in the carpet, but I couldn't find a pigtail under it. Is it there, or if not can it be adapted to fit into the truck?

it should be there, i heard its hard to find. never tried on my truck tho. i know ford sells what you need to install it but i am sure it wont be cheap. you should have the plug tho. also your radio needs to be set up to accept the audiophile

no that pigtail is not there on every truck. It seems like most Lariat owners have been lucky and found the pigtail, but on FX4 it's been hit or miss. My FX4 did not have it so I ended up going with an aftermarket sub/amp instead.
Who did you sell your 04 to? Because now the stereo is going to sound like crap because there will be no bass at all. (I briefly installed an Audiophile headunit in my truck without a sub) The Audiophile head unit has built-in crossovers so it sends all the low bass frequencies to the sub. Without the sub, the overall sound is so out of balance. If you sold your truck to a private individual, I'd do the right thing and give it back to them.
