Question Engine questions

Im getting a 5.0 H.O. with 68000 miles on it for free and there are no problems with it... Would that be better engine for my truck than the original 5.0? Im planning on running the original one until it dies.

Yes it would. How bout this. You yank out that 5.0 that's in your truck now, throw in that HO,and ship that 302 from the truck down to me.

The later engine will need a few components swapped onto it, but it will fit. Just remember it has a 351w firing order, not a 302 firing order.

What componets would be involved? Would the H.O. have more low end tourque?

Are the heads i have on my truck now better than the H.O. ones? If so, will they fit on the H.O.?
