Question A problem with the electrical system..

My truck has a problem, The power stays on whenever it is not running, Draining juice from the battery like it is in the on posistion. And when I try to drive it it sputters and dies. The truck has the same problem my 92 TBird 5.0 had, It would drive fine for a little while, then it would sputter for a minute and die, Not to start again untill the battery is fully charged. I went through 2 batterys and a alternator untill I finally gave up and took my TBird to a shop and they found the problem within minutes..... It was a loose connector on the steering column, It had come unglued at the seam. The problem with my truck is the EXACT same problem as with my TBird, Right down to the turn signals not working, All the other lights do, But not the turn signals. Do any of you know what the problem could be? Thanks in advance.

It sounds like a a positive cable somewhere hitting a negative spot ( any metal part linked with the chasis of your car or engine), this has happened to me several times and in my car its usually a loose cable from some light...

I went over all the lights, And I discovered that it has no reverse lights, No lights, No housing, Nothing but cut wires. Same goes for the liscence plate lights, Just cut wires. It also looks like someone wired a connector for a trailer into the wiring back there... Could any of that be the problem?
