Need opinions

Everybody's got one right?

Things I neeed for my '94 turbo:

Return line kit
Viton fuel line
Beru Glow Plugs
G-Code Injectors, Are remans any good? I'm leaning towards---It's not worth it.
Delphi any good?
Who's the best?

Can I get all of this from one place?!
I've looked on about 10 web sites and most only show some of what I need, others won't return e-mails and some don't show a brand name on anything.

Also I want the ATS downpipe and turbo outlet elbow. The downpipe I found and got a part #. The elbow description and picture confuses me, it looks like you have to buy the whole housing and wastegate. The price seems too low ($283) for all of that and too expensive if it is just an elbow. I'm sure someone on here knows what's up with that.

Last I want a Pyrometer and Boost Gauge. I want a boost gauge that shows 0-20 as a 0-60 is useless on this truck, a 0-20 sweep would be way better. Where have you guys gotten yours and how much were they?

I'm going to install all of this at the same time, can I start the truck with the turbo off of the motor to blow all of the "chips" out of the exhaust manifold when I drill and tap it for the EGT probe? I can't see why not.

THANKS!

The $283 thing IS just the elbow. And yes, that is expensive for just the elbow.

The elbow, turbine housing & downpipe kit is $573.

About the boost gauge: There are no gauges that just just boost that read any smaller increments than 0-35, I dunno why (at least not Autometers). Some vac/boost gauges only go to 20 or 25 though.

Oh, and yeah you can start it to blow out the "chips" or even just crank it over, I did that.

Banks has a guage that reads 0-15psi. It came with my sidewinder kit. Great sweep accross the guage when you mash the throttle. I havent been to 15 yet cause I will have to deactivate the wastegate. I think banks calles their guages dynafact so if your searching for one, you have the name. Good luck

Hey S.P.
It's 541-928-5054
If you get the answering machine leave a message, if I'm there after hours I'll hear you and pick-up. Otherwise I'll get back to you.
The machine's message says it won't record but IT WILL.
Wait for the beep! LOL

Anymore you can buy new for a few dollars more than reman at most places.
Several people here have used Delphi injectors and I have yet to hear any bad comments about them.

I went with Isspro boost and pyrometer, 30 PSI boost and the pyrometer is color coded for pre turbo temps.
As my eyes are not quite what they used to be up close, seeing what color the needle is in is easier than seeing numbers, I like it.

Part of the reason for the high cost of the outlet flange is because the wastegate is in the flange.

most people here have heard this story, but I'll tell it again. I bought a pump from them, the first pump they sent me was worthless, I took it back and got another one, It lasted about a month and started spitting fuel everywhere. I got the guy at the local Ford dealership to order me one from an injection shop in Birmingham, the man from Diesel Care said he normally only did exchanges, but since I had such bad luck(thats what he called it), he gave me my money back.

ok dave, here it is, your first time hearing it.

I had 8 new delphi, and one popped off or leaked bad. after 1,000miles it was enough to shake the engine in a BAD way.
picked up 8 rebuilt stanadynes and am still running them.

coulda been a fluke, but thats my story.

Well, now I have heard something bad about the Delphi injectors.

Still not somthing I would consider a bad thing, I have bought more than one bad new part in the last year or two.

Any part manufacturer will have bad parts get out the door.
When I get concerned is when several out of a set are bad, and when you replace them the replacements are just as bad.

Quality control is not what it used to be.
