Injectors

Ok I have a 1993 7.3 IDI non turbo. Im going to replace the ijsectors, but will be adding a turbo down the road.Due I get the injectors for the turbo or not?

Unless you are planning to change the IP as well, I would stick with the E code for now, turn up you IP when you do get a turbo, the E codes will flow plenty of fuel.

I'd stay away form the G's unless your trying to keep the smoke down. The G has the biggest hole out of the injectors I've measured but the pintle is more restrictive they also have a higher pop off.

What is a pintle and what does it do? What's a pop off?

idk what pintle is but pop off is when the injector cracks open and sprays fuel into the cylinder

That would be the part in the injector that opens to allow fuel to flow through. It moves up to allow flow when the IP pressure has reached the set "pop" pressure, when the pressure drops, the pintle moves back down to its seat and extra fuel is returned to the tank through the return port in the injector body.

Run your finger tip over the end of the injector,that little pin sticking out is the pintle...
on the otherhand...a pinto was a moltov cocktail that was made by ford .. donot confuse the two...
