2in Body lift, how much weight will they stand?
I was lookin’ at some body lifts for my 1985 F-150. A two inch one was just what I need and the price (about 65.00) is not too bad either. I'm not a huge fan of body lifts but my good friend has had one for a little over a year and he's quite happy with it. I want some nice 33-inch tires and not spend a fortune to do it. My truck will fit them stock but a little
More room would be nice. I really don’t like the 2-inch lifts that are being sold and I can’t find those Daystar coil spacers.
Any way my question is, if I put a body lift on my truck and then if I throw anything in the bed heavy will the blocks be crushed? If I wanted to haul some cordwood or ½ of bricks would the blocks crush? Or would they hold up and be fine? I was looking at the performance accessories kit if that helps. And also I looked at the question posted about the three-inch kit, will I have to make custom hoses and brackets or will I be okay? Any help would be great. Thanks a lot.

I knew a guy in high school that had a body lift on his truck(chevy). One night (after a little liquid encuragement) he jumped the truck. When he landed the floor of the cab bent down around the body lifts. So, no the blocks won't break very easily.

2in Body lift, how much weight will they stand?
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 30-Jun-02 AT 00:49 AM (EST)]runner i got a 3" performance body lift on my truck and i put wood in the back and haul lots off stuff and they never broke yet(knock on wood)i had to make my own brackets for the back bumper cause there kit has them for the front but not the back bumper i dont know why and the 4by4 shift link i had to make it longer myself too. i got a buddy of my to do it for me i dont know why they dont put that in with the body lift id rather pay 40 dollers more and get everything i need.oh well and way my hoses came kinda close to the fan so i took a few tie raps and got them outta the way .the body lift wont affect the length of them though.hope this helps some.
