01 ranger 4.0L 4x4, rough idle, sucking gas, otherwise seems to run fine. Read the code (check engine light is on) got a P0300. Going to try changing the plugs today.
Can anybody give me some advice on getting to the 2 plugs on the passenger side? They look like they will be hard to get to.
Try getting to those plugs through the wheel well. Crank the steering wheel over one way or the other so it will give you more room to work in there or take off the wheel. You might be able to lift up the edge of the plastic wheel well liner so you could have more room between it and the frame.
Hmm that sounds like a good idea....any other ideas? I like to have a few options. I was going to try to reach them with the spark plug tool that can do a right angle.
