96 explorer, flashing airbag code 32
already see that the code 32 is a drivers side airbag sensor circuit high resistance or open. Are there any precaution whens working around the airbag? does disconnecting the battery "completely" disable the bag? I suspect its probably just a loose connection in the column's wiring harness, but just in the event I need to replace the spring, I want to absolutely insure there is no way that bag is going to grenade in my face. Can anyone provide some do's and don'ts with regards to the checking the airbag circuit? thanks in advance.
