Biggest Tire?

What is the biggest tire I can put on my truck with no problems? I hace 31x10.5's on it now and the front ones rub a little at full turn. Would spacers work when I bigger tires?
1988 F-150, 300 I6,31x10.5 AT's, All stock

When looking at the fitment guide; if you have a 3" body lift and a 6" suspension lift; would you look under 9"?

Wait so you are telling me that my soon to be 94 F350 with 9" of lift will only be able to have 39" tires?

I think that the chart is saying that with 9 inchs of lift 39's will fit and not hit the fender when compressed. You could probly put anything you want if the trucks gonna be a pavement pounder jus as long as you don't hit a huge bump at 60. Thats what it seems because a 33x12.5 will fit on a stock ford but theres no space for compression.
