E-85...It's about time

My podunk town finaly got an e85 station... i rode through there this weekend to check the price , 2.99/gal, I'm gonna give it a try next time i fill up.. I'm gonna try half gas, half e85 first. then 100% e85 to see the difference in milage Vs price

I can tell you now that E85 gets worse mileage then regular gas. Once you figure it out you will see that its about the same price per mile for gas versus E85

read your owners manual

use 100% E85 or none...and try to minimize switching between E85 and gas

back and forth between the 2 will make your truck run like crap. there is a sensor that determines which gas you are using, and it causes the ECU to adjust the fuel curves...switching can confuse it

My 08 F150 supercrew 5.4, with 6.5 box,4x4 runs best with 87 oc.
I ran 2 tanks E85 then a 50/50 mix and when all said and done I get the most bang for my buck running 87,tried 89 and 91 but still overall 87 fits the bill....
for the 70 cent diff between E85 at 2.89 and 87 no eth at 3.59 Iam better off with 87......
about 12-13 with E85...No trailer
and 15.5-16.8 with 87 and no trailer...........got 17 when I drove across ND at 75mph with 87...
85% of my driveing is hwy......
