Swathing is done - we will go back and cut through some of the wet areas that have been overgrown in the last two wet years and bale them up just so we can do something next year.
Combining will be about a third done after today - so far crops are yielding better than we thought (our land is in three parcels and we have only done stuff in the driest area).
My employee found a truck (finally). He bought a 2004 Dodge w/cummins power -- now we an keep track of it vs my 6.0H vs Wards Dmax. Its very low kms and like new. First impression - man I like the engine. Truck seats are a bit harder than the Ford or Chevy and the ride seems a bit more firm. That engine is in its own league though!!!!! The truck is nice and high - if you like big 4x4's this truck is already high enough from the factory.
Tango is getting bigger so maybe there will be puppies by month end but maybe shes just fat!
Just leaving to get the bale hauler that we rent - we will get the last 500 bales moved in the next few days then it will just be straw left.
glad harvesting went good for you guy`s out there, our yields out here were above average in most areas, still have lots of corn and soybeans to harvest, they all seem to be average to above average. as for trucks, can`t go wrong with a dodge diesel!!! (oops i`m swearing) i`m not really brand biass, there are some good gm`s, dodges and fords, i myself own a 03 dodge ram and love it, only problem i`ve ever had with it is the water pump, drove fords for many years just figured i`d try something different
Glad to hear everything is going good for you Warren, nice to hear about the yields. Hopefully by the middle of the week we will be able to start combining. We tried our durum on saturday, it tested dry but we still have lots of green kernels in the sample. Its is not a very good looking sample either. Maybe a 2 but probably a 3.
