Engine cuts out when warm.
Ok, here's the problem, the truck runs great if you just let it idle all day long, but when it gets warm, and you drive it, it will cut out, sputter, die, and not want to start for about five minutes or so, and will repeat the sputtering and dying.
Here's what I have diagnosed. The fuel pressure is constant 40psi with key on, 30psi with engine running. Timing is right on at 10 degrees BTD. Engine does not over heat, no vacuum leaks that I could find. The Oil pressure does drop at slow idle but am half way convinced it is a faulty sending unit. The truck does not have any error codes when scanned.
My thoughts are that something is causing either too much air,
or not enough air to reach the intake. Another side thought was that the cat converter might be clogged. Does not pass Emissions test. I also suspect the MFI air bypass valve, but am not sure how to test it.Any info would be greatly appreciated. Had this truck for a while, and would like to get it running.
Thank you all.
