Last week I opened up a can of Sherwin-Williams acrylic urethane primer that had been sitting on my bench for almost two years.... finally ready to paint my frame.... of course it had seperated... and the lower half (literally) was as thick as window glazing (literally again) after an hour of dipping, stabbing, stirring, cussing, breaking paint sticks...more cussing we finally got it to the consistancy to strain and use... there were 4 arthritic hands that haven't worked properly all week but the frame looked great.... final coat comes in a week or so when sanding complete but this time....
I need a gallon can paint shaker... H.F. has one for 119.99 air driven... probably around 150.00 with shipping... more than I want to spend but might... the local store doesn't stock it... so it has to be shipped
any one have one ??
anyone have a used one they want to sell ????? commercial ones are 400 bucks and you can't find used either
Why not just take it to Home Depot, Lowes or your local auto paint store and ask them to "shake" it for you?
Probably wouldn't cost you a cent.......
I'm gonna try that .... don't know if they will 'shake' other than what they sell... probably some liability stating the lid might come off and decapitate a customer.
worst they can say is no ??? but I'd still buy a used shaker if I could find one... strap the grandkids to it for a fun ride...
Get an electric motor and make a cam assembly with a spring. Ever seen those vibrators they use to settle concrete? Get one of those and figure out a way to make it shake a can.
