Yeah, they dont call em lie-o-meter's for nothing!
They usually give a estimate though, so if its anywhere around there even, that is pretty good.
Does it feel small in the interior? Ive never sat in one (actually not many suvs other then our couple of grand cherokee laredo's) and im curious if the smaller suv, well, feels small?
i think they have ample room for 5 medium sized adults though you wouldn't want to go on a long trip like that unless you picked the passengers of your choice.
the inlaws honda only has seatbelt provision for 4 people and even then, there isn't a ton of room in it. we put the car seat in there and there isn't much room for me and the missus on either side.
The Escape is qiute roomy. Sherm is right, there is pretty good room for five adults but I wouldn't want to be in the back for a long drive. There is lots on room in the front for both driver and passenger.
What kinda honda do your in laws have sherm? I never have been one for the looks of a honda suv.
IMO honda shoulda stuck to what they were good at, econobox cars. (well besides their atvs and whatnot )
not meaning to hijack marlon's thread, but its a honda CRV. honestly when i have a drive in a non ford vehicle, there's usually something i don't mins saying i like about it, be it ride, power, overall quality etc. this CRV is a hunk of junk. all i can say is i hope its a long lasting rig for them cause there's nothing else impressive about it to me!!!
going to trade in your '07 for another escape Marlon??

I wouldn't do that, the Escape is a nice vehicle and all but I wouldn't want to give up my truck. I don't think I will get much seat time in the Escape anyway, Jen finds it very hard to hand over the keys. Its funny she didn't care that much about the focus.
I think too when we have kids and they get older I will get a super-crew. When they are small a extended cab will work. I had too ride in the back of a supercab when I was young.
the missus felt the supercab was a bit tight for getting a car seat in and out of, but it would do if a person couldn't afford a crew. its still a big step up from a regular cab.
The only complaint I have about putting the kids in the back of my truck is the seat belt hanging down in the way. There is enough room for the kids now but when they grow up a little it might be a little crowded. One thing for sure, Matthew sure doesn't like riding in the Van, he's usually howling away after about 5 miles and it is 30 miles to just about anywhere we go.
