engine problems
ok so i gots me a 95 f150 with the 300 I6 and a 5speed trans. with 4x4. truck has over 326000 km on it or 202000 miles. i ran injector cleaner through it and just replaced the fuel filter and upgraded to mid-grade gas. the problem is that the truck seems to get horrible MPG my uncles 96 is gettin like 20mpg and even more now he took the catalytic converter off but mines gettin like 13.75 mpg. the truck also seems completely gutless sometimes but at other times it pulls like a diesel and the check engine light is on and off randomly. anyone know where i should start lookin for problems, im gonna call about a tune-up monday and try and get the timing adjusted monday as well, any other ideas?

if the check engine light came on,there might be some codes stored in the computer,have you done a code scan? Ford Fuel Injection will show you how if you don't have or don't want to buy a scan tool
