Where is the computer module

Can anyone tell me where the computer module on a 2005 f-350 powerstroke is? I am trying to find the 5 digit code for the keyless entry on the driver door. Any help out there???

I think that it is way up on the firewall behind your stereo. Pretty hard to get to and see.

Typically the code is on the GEM module, which is usually under the dash on the driver's side, and it is often mounted to the central junction box (fuse box.)

Found It!

Just found mine today (on my 07 F250 PSD). it took me about 20 minutes to find that sucker!

Swing the ashtray/storage bin downward, then reach up under, and as far forward to the firewall as you can go...you will see bright white fiber sound deadening material laying up near the firewall, push this insulation aside and you will see a small module (in my case it was a black plastic module) which is mounted to the firewall. The white label on mine said BOSCH on it along with the Ford PN and bar codes, etc. Looking at the decal, in it's normal readable orientation, you want to focus on the upper left corner, where you will see the five magic digits, they are printed larger than all the other numbers on the decal. I found it easier to read the digits using a small round mechanic's mirror (the kind you can get at the auto parts store, the handle telescopes like a radio antenna). I also found it easier to view them with my head flat on the floor and looking straight up in there (really comfortable!). You do need a nice bright flashlight.

Then just enter the 5-digit master code, then, within 5 seconds, enter your personal 5-digit code, and you are in business. The master code which you read off the module never changes and can still be used. I wrote it with a black sharpie, on the backside of my fuse panel access cover, just in case.

Man it's nice to finally be able to use my keyless entry buttons...I bought my 07 used in 2007, and never had the code in the manual...

I called my wife out to the garage and showed her how it worked...

she rolled her eyes, called me a "big dork" and went back inside. oh well.

Rob, she'll take it back the first time she locks the keys in the truck.
