I'm trying to decide if I should go with a Dynomax Ultra Flo Welded muffler or there Super Turbo muffler. Does anyone know which is better as in terms of power or economy? I want a little bit different sounding muffler than stock. But, at the same time I don't want my truck to sound like those nasty chevys. I hate that loud obnoxious rumble. I want it quiet, but you know when I'm coming. I though about a Flowmaster 70series but I like Dynomax.
Ohhh btw if you didn't know I have a 2001 F-250 V-10 soon to be with Y-Pipe. Thanks
dont expect any power or mpg gains by changing out the muffler it just isn't going to happen (well gain you can feel).
as for the quietest muffler the FM70 is a very popular muffler on here with the V10 but i like my trucks loud so that is about all i can offer on the subject. only thing to add dynomax, flowmaster, cherrybomb, magnaflow, etc. they all offer a queit muffler so just dont think you have two choices on brands, just throwing out ideas..
Ohh I know there are many brands, I just prefer the Dynomax mufflers. Have always been a Thrush fan and THOUGHT about going with a Cherry Bomb. I kinda wonder what it'd sound like. The reason I asked about performance... was due to the back pressure needed for the V-10, that is what I was wanting to make sure of. I didn't think it'd make any power difference, thanks!
