Well I decided since its raining today, no car show and no truck pull. . . . I might as well work on the truck. Its been a while. So on the list of things to do includes compression check, change glowplugs, find oil leak. . . part 12, and clean the engine compartment for the first time really since I bought it. And when I mean clean it. . . I mean taking everything apart and cleaning everything! Anyway heres how it has gone so far. Drivers side first. . . get everything apart, loving the look under the valve cover because it looks brand new. Well I put in my powerstroke adapter to read compressions. . . hook that up to my brand new compression tester(never been used) I go crank and come back to see 0. Hmmm I know I got more than that. Two problems I found. The schrader valve in the adapter has a spring on it, and none of my other adapters do. . . I'm thinking that maybe its not supposed to so i switch it out for one that is not spring loaded because I couldn't get the needle to move. Then It won't hold pressure. The brand new tester leaks. So I had to take it back. I'm so thrilled. Oh well, back to cleaning the crap out of the engine compartment, and searching for my oil leak until the new tester arrives. Ugh.

It was a napa tester. I can't believe that it was leaking. So rediculous. yeah I looked first at the R-IPR, it looks like there is a little oil off of the rear bolt. I want to get it running to see if I can watch it leak like my last one. Maybe I'll have to go buy new O-rings again. In in the process of detailing the engine compartment and I don't want to get it all dirty again with oil! But I gotta say. . . damn does it look nice when its all clean in there. Well off to food. I'm dying.
